These are two of my new favorite vintage finds - I found a new thrift store in the area.  The skirt is so light and flowing, but can be a little tough to walk up stairs in.  The blouse is an example of finding good construction, and then realizing that its designer once I get home, Georgio Armani to be exact (OHLALA!).  

Sorry, for the lack of spooky spirit, but I don't really do the Halloween dress-up thing - weird for a site called Another Day to Dress Up, I know.  But, some of us have to work for a living, and I don't want to wear a kooky outfit all day at the job.  However, this is not to say that I don't have any spirit; after all, I am watching Halloween at 8 in the morning. And I have to say, Micheal Myers' performance in Halloween in a stark contrast to his role in Wayne's World, what a brilliant actor.  I hope that you're all celebrating safely, and having fun!

This is just a simple little outfit for a terrific day. This is one of the things that I love about dresses - just pair them with a jacket or sweater and you're ready to go! 

I hope that you're all planning for fabulous weekends. I know that here in America, Halloween is a huge deal - a huge deal that I usually don't engage in beyond having a beer with friends & carving a crude visage of a face into a gourde. Regardless, I hope that everyone travels safe & has sppoooookkkyyyy fun!

Sometimes, its easy to forget that life behind the Orange Curtain can be really beautiful.  I mean look at this place!  This is, literally, 5 minutes from my house.  My boyfriend and I did some rock climbing, jumping, clam hunting (get your mind out of the gutter & no that is not my hand holding it) and exploring at Pirates Cove.  The whole neighborhood is gorgeous & laden with old oak trees and fabulous houses.  

This outfit was a great idea for the day too, because the infamous Santa Ana winds are rolling in, and accordingly, Fall is officially here.  The fabric of this outfit played really well with the light, and its time for me to get back to playing outside.  Hope you're all having a good week!

After procrastinating for months, I finally took these boots in to get a new zipper put in. It was a little pricey, but I can't even explain to you how much I love these boots. It's really hard for me to find a boot that is small enough for my puny calf and when I found these babies three years ago I quickly bought them in black and brown because I knew I wouldn't find anything like them again. And guess what? I haven't! You will be seeing these ad nauseum for the next couple of months so I apologize in advance.

One Year Anniversary!

Today is the one year anniversary of Another Day To Dress Up!!

Accordingly, I would like to thank every reader, every follower and every browser for supporting my endeavor – you are, truly, what gives this site its worth. Without the lovely comments and support from all of you, this would simply be just another aimless blog on the internet, and for that, I am grateful to each and every one of you.

It’s crazy to look back on the first couple of months on this site, and see how low-rent of a production I was running – it’s almost laughable, really. In other words, this blog has come a really long way in its short life. New cameras, new directions and new hats have found their way into my waking day, and this site has given me a sense of direction outside of being just the simple outlet that it was intended for.

In simple summary, I have been blessed to meet so many great people through the past year that I otherwise wouldn’t have ever encountered. You’ve all become an extended part of my life, and I just wanted to use this day as a chance to say thank you for your support. This next year will, hopefully, be better than the last. Thanks!

PS I have to say thank you to the Citizen Rosebud for reminding me, I can't believe I almost missed it!
