Kind Gestures

Jacket: Random Thrift Sweater: Palm Springs Skirt: Old Urban Outfitters Shoes: Steve Madden

Remember when I was bragging about my free hair cut from one of my customers a while back-of course you do because I obviously got it done. Well, when I finally decided to get my hair cut I knew that I wanted bangs but was apprehensive to cut them because my hair grows so damn fast, I didn't want to have to make another appointment to get them touched up. Plus her salon is in Laguna Beach and I rarely find myself in that city. But she told me that if I needed a trim she would be glad to come in to my shop and cut them. Now, I am very weird about asking people to go out of their way to do something for me, so I knew that I would never call her and actually have her cut them, but it was a nice gesture so I just decided to say screw it and get them cut anyways. And low and behold yesterday she came by the shop to check up on me and see if I needed any touch ups on my hair. So we sat in the back and she "cleaned up" not only my bangs but my entire head of hair. How fucking cool is that... it's people like this that make me have faith in people again.

Oh a side note, thank you so much for your kind words about yesterday's post. It made me feel much more optimistic regarding my frustrating situation. I wrote yesterday's post mainly to get my feelings off of my chest.  Writing is often very therapeutic for me but usually I just crumple up the piece of paper I'm venting on and throw it away. But yesterday, I had a weird feeling that I should post it instead. And from the amount of support I received I will be doing personal posts much more often (don't worry it won't be overwhelming, I'm very good at censoring myself)!

People can be awesome some times. Amazing.

(PS. I love my frizzy curls. Frizzy is only a negative term if you aren't into fluffy volume.)

I'm glad you are a fan of criterion movies, what are some of your favorites? my boyfriend is the one that makes most of the money haha so he buys them, he is a collector of media hahaha, but the extas are almost always amazing, the criterion relese of "vampyr" was really amazing.
