It's Giveaway time folks! I have decided to giveaway this amazing purse as a token of my gratitude.

Here's the rules:

1. Must be a follower on either Blogspot or BlogLovin, or both for double the chance to win. Just leave me two comments so that it's counted in the random number generator.
2. Make sure to include your e-mail so that I have a way to contact you!
3. Answer the following question: If you could travel to one place during one time period when and were would it be? There are no stupid answers I'm just curious and interested to see you're answers.

This is open to international readers as well.

I will choose a winner on Wednesday!

Good luck everyone!!!!

I'd like to travel to The south Pole in 150 years (everyone else has said past time periods so i hope this is allowed!) to see if anything is left, or if we had bucked up our ideas, maybe even lived there! and if global warming had destroyed the continent, I'd wanna go to the moon 150 years into the future because I'd want to see how the world had changed from that viewpoint. Hell, I want to go to the moon now!

If I could go anywhere at anytime... I would go to the 1950s and meet my grandparents. My grandfather died when my mum was 10 (so obviously before I was born!) and my grandmother died when I was 4 so I hardly remember her. I find it so weird that they brought up my mother and yet I didn't even know them at all. x

If I could travel anywhere during any time period I think I would go to the Galapagos Islands in the 16th century, before the island was mapped in detail and poachers took advantage of it. I read some excerpts by Darwin in my Victorian literature class and his descriptions of the animals were absolutely fascinating. I would love to be able to go see the islands and their creatures before they had any outside influences. I picked the 16th century because it was when the islands were first starting to appear vaguely on maps and the rumor is that English pirate ships used to hide amongst the islands at the end of the 16th century. Uninhabited islands, bizarre unseen creatures and pirates all appeal to me. It would be an exciting adventure of a trip.

About a year ago, I read Agatha Christie's Autobiography. She spend most of the 1920s in the Orient, in cities like Baghdad or Kabul which are, nowadays, regions where no one wants to travel any more because they are marked by terrorism and wars, sadly.
But back in the day, the Orient was still this mysterious, wonderful place. The culture was so different, everyting was still authentic. You could by wonderful spices, fabrics and jewelry at markets and it was like a whole different world!
I would love to travel around the Orient of the 20s so so much (using the Orient Express - of course!) and it is so sad that things have changed so much and those places will probably never fully be restored :(

Hm okay, I'd say I would travel to the year 1944 and the place would be the tiny chapel in the little village where I grew up, because: On the burial of my best friend's grandma the priest said that she (the grandma) married on the 18th of November 1944, two days after the first bombs were dropped on the smalltown near our village and it was also said that you could still feel the earth shaking from time to time then. It must have been such an act of real love and hope for the future to marry in these times that I would love to be there and see the marriage :)

i think i would go to america in the 60's, during the uprisings and social upheavals. i have been watching the beatles musical "Across the Universe". It has really inspired me, i would just have loved to live in the 60's, the music was amazing and there was such a feel of revolution in the air!

If I could go anywhere...I'd have to say Ireland in the medieval ages, but either before or after the viking raid. Or America during the jazz age. It's a tie.

What an absolutely fantastic giveaway!

As far as what time period I would travel to, I think I would stick where I am. I'm in Sacramento, and we have such a great scene of vintage fusion right now. The antique and thrift stores are great here; because it's not a huge city, they aren't thoroughly picked through, but there is still a pretty big volume of stuff to look at!

my email is jmsahmaunt@gmail.com. Thanks, and great blog!

I would love to live in America, in the 50s. It's the gorgeous hair, the mix of youthful coolness and total elegance. Then again, right now, styles from that time period are trickling down to our current styles, so London right now suits me just dandy.

I would travel to bohemian Paris in the 1920s. So much change in the air! Tangible excitement, the feeling of shifting attitudes, towards dress and towards life. So much hope in young people, and so much opportunity to create the change you want to see in the world. I think it would be an exciting time, both for dressing and cultural purposes!

I would go back in time to Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976 to see The Band perform their 'Last Waltz'.

The Last Waltz was a concert by the Canadian rock group, The Band at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The concert saw The Band joined by more than a dozen special guests, including Paul Butterfield, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Ronnie Hawkins, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood and Neil Young.

Would have been amazing!!
They are my favourite band!!!

many people have listed the places & times I'd pick so I'm going to go with Laurel Canyon (where i live now) in the late 1960s. It's seems like such a warm and creative environment.

That's a toughie. I'd like to travel to the mid-1800's to see how the banjo was played (I'm big into banjo) way back when, and also the blues. Also the Middle East during the 1800s-1900s and the South before and after the Civil War. Maybe Mexico in the 1800s as well, and Latin America.

Pompeii,Italy before the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The diversity of the Pompeian lifestyle has long encompassed me, especially their simplistic dressing of beautifully draped linen accompanied by intricate gold jewellery. Hope I made it in time, keep up the amazingness of your blog, Elizabeth.
