Blouse: Vintage Jeans: Cheap Monday
I found out from you lovely readers that I was chosen as Weardrob's Spotlight of the day yesterday. To be honest, I didn't really know what that meant. And then I was browsing the internet and my little face popped up on a web page I was reading. It was a weird double take scenario. And then I realized it was an advertisement for Weardrobe and it all made sense! Thanks again for choosing me for the spotlight you guys are awsome.
Now onto my outfit- I was running late to work and was drawing a complete blank with my wardrobe this morning. After a minute of anxiety I decided to just throw on one of the looks I go to when I'm in a rush or striped of creativity- a printed blouse and jeans. This look always works. It's so simple and takes no time at all to whip up.
I am also proud to say that I did absolutely no editing to these photographs. The lighting change is all courtesy of my talented boyfriend. And now I have a question to you all. Do you like the cold tones in the first pictures, or warm tones in the last pictures???

Personally i like the warmer tones! You just seem to glow a little more.
It's also nice to read that someone who dresses so awesomely each day has "blank" days too! Though slightly jealous of how put-together and polished you make jeans and a blouse look ;)
Love it <3
The warmer tones! They make your eyes stand out :-)
Warmer tones, indeed.
I need a jeans like yours.
I love this outfit :) Everything looks so good on you! You make jeans and a blouse look so good, even if you were having a bit of a 'blank' day <3
I prefer the warmer tones
the warmer tones! they make everything pop, especially your skin. lovely photos by the way.

Those jeans are perfect! If they aren't skin tight I can't wear them, haha.
Warm tones. Doing the colour balance on photos for the web drives me crazy because there is no telling what it will look like on another screen. Not that I obsess about these things ;)
You have stuff in the coolest prints!
Ohohoh my gosh!
I love this so much :)
Your body is so wonderful!
the bag is fabulous <3
your legs look fabulous in these jeans
Warmet tones!

your outfit is amazing! :-)
<3elizabeth
I love your top!
And about the lighting- you look great in both! However, whatever the light was that you were using for the warmer tones (some kind of shinbuster?) casts a strange ring at the bottom of the photograph... which if you were going for that, cool! If not, then I would suggest just going with the cooler lighting.
Great jeans, you look lovely,
Panda xx
i like your look any way....sometimes i truly envy some of your outfits!!!!!!

You look radiant with the warmer tones, so I say that one works best. And as far as the outfit, I think it's fab! I love the blouse!
omg - that blouse! amazing. id say warm tones as it makes your eyes stand out.
you look fabulous! i love your blouse and the jeans look great on you. that's actually one of my favorite outfits, jeans and longsleeve shirt. effortlessly chic!
You´re looking so fabulous. It´s amazing! But I think you´ll even look good in a "potatoebag". ( In Germany we call it like this, because potatebags are really ugly for wearing ;) )

okay, you look stunning as always.
just one quick comment on the photography.
I personally like the colder tones, it seems to show better color.
the warm ones seems to have a little orb at your feet, and it detracts from your gorgeousness.
thats all :)
Your shirt is amazing! I think the colder tones show off your outfit better but the warm tones brightens up your face!
Gorgeous print! I like the warm colors best.

Your jeans are a refreshing color of blue. (:
WHOA that print is badass!
I generally gravitate towards colder tones, but for this ensemble, the warm tones are more flattering. You look radiant!
I think the last photo is the best. So warm tones it is. But the whole set is good. Thanks, Wolfgang!

I prefer the colder tones...! Definitely! I can´t explain why.
i definitely love the warmer tones! but certain outfits/photos call for different tones so i don't think you should stick to one setting :) love your top and your hat!
I like the cooler tones for these pictures.
Congrats on the blogger spotlight! I love the warmer tones :)
Great top, the print makes me think of Celia Birtwell.

Cool are too cool, warm are just right.
Don't be afraid to shop: Traditional photographers (myself included) do it in the darkroom all the time (that's just the nature of the darkroom print making process). Photoshop is a great digital version of it. As long as you aren't completely changing the photo and as long as you're using it reasonably, it's probably going to make your photos look better. :)
And you look fantastic I've been reading daily for a long time now!
you look great!
love ur skinny jeans! :)
love those jeans on you! they look amazing!!!
wamer tones, it adds a vintage feel to the pics and isnt that what youre all about? :)
sincerely,
Jules

I love the simplicity of your outfit, and definitely I love the warmer tones. I recently got a canon rebel xs myself and I'm still trying to figure out what works best. it's definitely a process of trial and error.
really cute outfit, looks so comfy as well. love the blouse, the colours are beautiful. I like the warmer tones better as well :)

Oh... I notice that a lot of people are commenting on the "orb" or "ring" around your photos. It's called lens flare and has nothing to do with the white balance and everything to do with location, where the sun is and how open the aperture is.
Er, zoom and aperture really. Sorry for post-bombing! lol
haha, that´s funny that you say it even n that way... so, while my next US-holiday I will use it as ofte as I can :-)
I love your blouse and its watercolour look :)
amazing ! you just have the best style sense. in the last post i really liked your shorts and now here the shirt. just terrific !
Meg, you look fantastic!
the colors in the shirt somehow bring out the blueness of your eyes... gorgeous.
Anyway, the weardrobe spotlight thing... I think it's chosen mostly by Krystal, the gal managing weardrobe. At least that's my thought since she's also the one that chooses the "featured outfits."
