Jacket: Vintage Skirt: Thrifted Blouse: Thrifted Shoes: Seychelles
These photos were taken in the early morning hours of my first craft fair experience. To say the least, it was a learning experience. Beyond that, I felt a bit like a Carny without all the crystal meth & without the perks of free roller coaster rides and all you can eat kettle corn.
From this experience I've learned that my Etsy store is, probably, the way to go, and I have a couple different venture ideas in mind that could be more suitable. All that I can say now, is that I'm glad its daylight savings today, because I really needed that extra morning hour of sleep before I head out to the job that can, actually, pay my bills.
Hope that you're all having a terrific weekend!
You look great as usual! You're outfits are always very stylish and never boring :)

Gorgeous outfit, you definitely show people how to wear a midi skirt without looking like a granny!
ReplyDeletexoxo.
I know what you mean! I did a stint at a craft fair too, needless to say I won't be doing it again. Not only were people offering me next to nothing for my items, but some were also stolen!
ReplyDeleteI now prefer to stick with Ebay :-)

Sucks about the sale! One day we need to create a blogger super sale. It would be amazing, for sure. I'm getting straight up granny vibes from this outfit, I'm loving everything about it! Those boots confirm my belief that lace up black boots are pretty much the shizz.
ReplyDeleteGuess who is on page 127 of the latest issue of Lucky Magazine? YOU ARE. It's for Lookbook.nu.

You gave it a go, so good on you! But I've done craft fairs too and not made much money. Lots of browers, not many buyers. Despite my amazing stock. Ah well... you live, you learn.

vintage/craft shows are hard. i used to do them all the time but you get people that want to haggle you down to nearly nothing and it's just frustrating. i had a girl come back to my stand 3+ times trying to get me to lower a price of $60 boots to $20. online is the way to go! or maybe consign at a vintage shop in town?
ReplyDeleteWhich craft fair was this? I've been to a few in LA, but I still don't know about all of them! I totally would've come and bought loads of clothes from you!
ReplyDeleteOh how i wish I could shop the Meggs super store! And you look so fantastic, the clothes should buy themeselves.
ReplyDeleteI just read up in one of your many comments that YOU are in LUCKY magazine. How freaking AWESOME is that? Congrats!
simply awesome. <3 <3
