Let me start by saying that its been snowing like crazy for 3 days now. I had to experiment with an umbrella over the camera in order to get these shots, but it's so pretty outside right now I couldn't resist taking a couple of shots. One of my favorite thing about snow storms is how quiet it is in the middle of a storm - no one is out but the animals. And the last thing I want to do when it's so calm outside is get all dolled up. So, this outfit is all about winter comfort with an added flare of my sister's swanky boots and my boyfriend's super sweet German hat.

    I love the boots!!! It is pretty amazing how silent it gets when it snows. Early in the morning as I am cleaning off my car I see others doing the same thing but I can't hear them. I also love the way cars sound as they drive by...

    That German hat really is super sweet. I love it.

    What a brilliant idea to put an umbrella over the camera! I've been wanting to go out and shoot during snowstorms lately for the effect. I love snow, but I was having such problems with the camera getting wet, and the batteries dying due to the ice. I'm stealing that one... thank you for it!

    You still look put together, even with a comfortable outfit... I feel that is an accomplishment... when I am tired(/hung over?) I usually wear skinny jeans and a giant jacket and look like a dirty hipster... haha!

    I love that hat! And you always make me want to wear denim more because you just look so great in it. Jealous of your snow!!! It has just been raining, here.
