Its been a beautiful weekend, here in the mountains, and a pretty great week in general. Between starting a new job, baseball games, birthdays and Chinese food; the weather has just been icing on the cake. Wildflowers are starting to bloom here, so the boyfriend and I decided to drive through some state parks to check them out. Along the way, we stopped in this aspen forest by my house to snap some pics.
I was feeling incredibly uninspired today, but finding that one right item can spark the whole outfit off and in this case it was my "creepy deer" bolo (what my boyfriend calls it, and he has an equally creepy bull one). I mean come on, how can this little fellow not be a source of inspiration?

Just finished watching Kung Fu Panda and I could totally see that little deer as the next villain with those beady eyes...but he's too cute to be bad :) love the location today, so magical!

Ummmm I THINK I'M IN LOVE. That velvet skirt is incredibly amazing. I wish I could find a velvet piece that wasn't so wintery - something in a lighter color like this. I am dying.
