I have to say, Halloween isn't really my thing. I mean yes, there are usually parties to go to, and getting dressed up is always fun, but in exchange you have to deal with all of the drunken debauchery, douchey costumes and fight through the high expectations of the day: this is gonna be the best Halloween ever- it never is. I always find myself thinking "man, this was so much more fun when I was a kid", and low and behold this year, I actually got to experience it through children's eyes. It was my first year working on Main Street during the Halloween celebration, and believe me, it truly is a sight to see. They close down the entire street and thousands of children trick-or-treat up and down the street. To make it even more perfect, this is all followed by an oh so adorable dog parade. I was in charge of handing out candy to all of the children, and it was seriously a blast. It brought me back to what Halloween is all about: Seeing the smile on children's faces and how proud they are of their silly costumes and copious amounts of sugar.
