shirt: Magazine sweater: silence and noise shorts: swellegantThis is my take on a preppy. I really like the look of button down shirts buttoned all of the way to the top. It gives the shirt a much more masculine feel, and shoes off the pattern brilliantly. Also, these are shorts, not a skirt. They are my favorite pair of shorts I own, but if I don't get them hemmed quickly they are going to fall apart. I really need to learn how to sew, using scissors on clothing is never a good idea, yet I can't help myself. I guess I'm a sucker for instant gratification.
My weekend starts tomorrow and I can't wait. I have compiled the best and worst of NYFW and plan on posting everything on one of my days off. And let me tell you there were a couple of majorly successful collections along with some EPIC FAILS. To be honest most of the collections I viewed were just ok, nothing innovative or exiting, just clothes. I was a bit disappointed actually. I guess I was expecting too much, I always hype myself up for fashion week, and rarely does it meet my expectations. Although, I do admire, and appreciate the craft that goes into each collection reguardless of my feelings towards it. These are just my thoughts and preferences aesthetically.

Red hat is amazing! I love the colors in your outfit-- the stripes are a good touch of pattern and the shoes are a lovely color, especially with the socks!
first: you look absolutely amazing, as always. second: i have a thing with instant gratification too and the scissors are my best friend. it is rare that i use my sewing machine (which is in the box). really?!
