Day Trip

Blouse: Salvation Army Skirt: Goodwill Purse: Burberry Shoes: Seychelle

I woke up this morning to find my boyfriend planning a little day trip for us. And it involved two of my favorite things, him and vintage shopping. Although our first stop was at Vestal , which is a watch company by boyfriend is sponsored by. They are launching a eyewear line which will be out in mid-April. WE stopped by so that my boyfriend could pick up his pair of sunglasses and they were kind enough to give me a pair also-as long as I promised to wear them at the launch party-DUH. Then we hit the pavement and began our drive out to palm springs. I have read a lot about the quality vintage shopping out there, but sadly I was not impressed. I don’t think I did enough research to be able to fully tackle what was available to us. I picked up a couple unique pieces at really good prices, so it wasn’t a total bust. It was like a breath of fresh air to get out of orange county for the day, and I got to spend quality time with my love which is always amazing.

I was planning on taking more pictures today but the scenery out there was pretty boring, nothing was even remotely exiting. Palm Springs is full of shitty art deco buildings and forced landscaping. Neither of which are even slightly inspiring to me. So we found this funny sign outside of one of the thrift stores and thought that this was as good a place as ever to take some pictures.

Next time we're just going to hit up Joshua Tree.

Love these photos! They're so amazing. Great lighting, great outfit, love the signs! Hey did you take photos of you and your boyfriend? Today, you totally had an adventure! My boyfriend and I still haven't been vintage shopping together... sad face. One day, we'll meet and we'll embark on a great and memorable adventure :) And take photos of course!

Great necklace! I saw some necklaces like that in a craft market in San Antonio, and I wanted one so, so badly. Next time, I suppose!
