Hello blogging world! I was going to apologize, AGAIN, for being a horrible blogger, but then I thought about it, and really, what’s the point? I have been living life to the fullest lately, and the computer is the last thing I was thinking about. I know all of you understand that.

In the past couple of weeks my sweet, loving, hilarious, hunk of a boyfriend turned the big 3-0! It was a milestone birthday, and I’m so proud of everything he is - my best friend, love of my life, #1 supporter and the photographer behind this beloved blog. I don’t know what I would be without him, and I love him to bits! Ok enough with the mushy stuff, I’ll move on. :)

I actually had a semi milestone birthday last week as well. I turned 25 on the 23rd of July! To be honest I still feel all of 21 years old, so it is a bit odd to officially be in my mid 20’s – eeeek! I feel like I need to grow up, but I guess being young at heart is always a good thing, right?

Also, this past week our good friend Paul Ku was in town staying at our apartment, visiting from CA for a dealer bike event held in Park City (what are the odds of that?). Anyways, we had a total blast. Drinks were abundant, conversation was on point and laughs were non-stop. It was so nice for someone from our old neck of the woods to come and hang out for a couple of days. It reminds me of how much I miss all of my buddies back in CA. Hopefully, we’ll get more visitors soon (hint, hint)!

Now onto this outfit, it has been hot hot hot here in Utah lately, and I couldn’t resist slipping on my favorite cropped top and super high-waisted shorts, today. The perfect combination to beat the heat! I seriously have an entire dresser drawer filled with jean shorts, and the higher the waist the better. They are always my go-to for relaxed summer days. And what better way to show off these shorts than a billowing cropped top? Yes, I am wearing these shoes again. I actually have a pretty large collection of shoes due to the three years I worked at a shoe store, but I always gravitate to these bad boys. They seriously go with everything and are so comfortable!

If you’ve ever been to Park City, you’ll be familiar with the backdrop of this photo. What you see behind me is the infamous white barn. That sweet American flag is posted for the entire summer, and it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s basically the unofficial welcome sign to park city, my bike route for the farmer’s market and I couldn’t think of a better symbol to represent the juxtaposition of the historical and the modern in the city I live in.

You are witnessing the debut of my Namesake Pants from Modcloth!  I am in love and they are so comfy.   These trousers are the perfect shade of dusty rose, and I have tons of ideas for quirky color combinations with them.  As you can see, it's snowing AGAIN!  It doesn't help that I'm terrified of driving in the snow; so I will be spending my one day off relaxing on the couch and watching movies - Which is actually the perfect precursor to the Oscar ceremony tomorrow!

I hope that you're all enjoying yourself this weekend.

Yesterday was productive, as I can, officially, declare it a day off.  I went to a new thrifting spot, for me anyhow, and I found some really cool stuff.  My boyfriend also made out with some terrific "artwork" that I'll post up soon.  On top of all this, I got a haircut for the first time in close to a year (picture with come soon)!

Its also worth mention, that I'm going full bore into getting my Etsy store back on track.  I have a good deal of wintery stuff that's been photographed and is almost ready to post for sale.  If you like this coat, it will be for sale rather soon.  I hope that everyone has terrific plans for the weekend.  I, for one, am preparing myself to be working in the middle of the madness that is known as the Sundance Film Festival.

I love this outfit today, but I'm not a huge fan of the background for the photos.  I was supposed to shoot in front of my, usual, Airstream bus, but there was a delivery truck blocking the way.  So, instead of getting to shoot great photos, I got a crowd of skeezy dudes straining their necks to see what I was doing 20 yards away.
I also decided to break out the old briefcase today, but alas, the strap is broken. Ugh.  So I was forced to carry it the old fashioned way all day.  Life is tough.

Sunday Funday... PSYCHE!

Blouse: Zara Skirt: Goodwill Shoes: Seychelles

I hope the Easter Bunny treated you all very well this morning. Unfortunately, due to the hectic year I've been having, I wasn't able to make it home to my parents house this year. And I don't think the Easter Bunny knows where I live in California, so it basically feels like every other Sunday to me. Well, besides the fact that I am sick, so it's a bit worse than every other Sunday. :( Growing up is the worst, I don't have the pleasure of going on an Easter Egg hunt OR the flexibility financially to take a sick day when I feel like crap.  BAHHUMBUG

I was in no mood this morning to get dressed up, but as I gazed into my closet this skirt popped out at me. And naturally this blouse followed, which was when I turned to my boyfriend and said, "This was way too easy not to post!"

10 Things That Make Me Happy...

I received the Happy 101 Blogger Award from Aphrodite , and Jordy and have been a terrible blogger and not had time to sit down and actually write about the ten things that make me happy. Part of this is because I wanted to answer them the best I could and not half ass it, so as today is my day off I had a chance to finally sit down and write....

1. My lovely boyfriend Jeff "Wolfgang" Schmidt. He is my everything. He cheers me up when I am down, calms me down when I am upset, makes me laugh, cooks me dinners, walks me down to the car every morning before work and is my personal photographer.

2. Family. My parents and sisters are my best friends. I have just as much fun with them as I do with anyone else if not more so. They keep me grounded and, although they don't live very close, would be by my side in an instant if I needed them.

3. Puppies. I am obsessed with dogs, pictures, videos, real life, I'll take anything I can get. Unfortunately I can't have one in my current apartment. So I just fawn over other people's

4. My baby blanket.

5. Hiking- it clears my head.

6.Vintage Shopping-I don't really think I have to explain this one!

7. Pesto

8. Random adventures.

9. Crime Dramas. I don't know where my enjoyment of these shows stems from but I could watch them for hours on end and not get bored. I'm not even picky, sure I have my favorites (Law & Order SVU and C.S.I are probably my top choices) but I will watch any of them.

10. Blogging. You are all so inspirational, and it makes my day reading your comments and personal posts. It's crazy that this weird little nitch we are in has blossomed into something so welcoming, nurturing, and inspirational. It blows my mind that each of you take time out of your day,s even if it's just a minute, to look at my little blog. I have met so many friends that I would have never had contact with if it weren't for this blog. Thank you all so much!!!

Now it is my turn to pass it to 10 of you...

And here are a couple of pictures from today. The weather was crap yet again, it was particlarly windy, so I was forced to take pictures on my balcony where I was parcialy sheilded. Please look past my crazy hair and lack of photo quality. These pictures are really about the vest, I got it yesterday and just adore it. It's going to be perfect for the summer time. I can picture myself throwing it on before a day at the beach and enjoying the sunshine...

Blue Skies

Blouse: Trash Pretty Shorts: Vintage Versace Blazer: H&M Shoes: Jeffrey Cambell

I am going to take a minute to explain why I love taking walking shots so much, clearly I am using a tripod, so why pretend like I'm walking? Well first of all I am really walking not pretending, and secound of all I really like to show how the clothing moves. It's one thing to be standing still, place every item in my ourfit just so and snap a picture. It's another to let the clothes do what they want naturaly, and snap the moment.

It's not pink it's mauve

Sweater: Seneca Rising Shirt: Swellegant Shorts: Swellegant Shoes: Jeffrey Cambell

Yes, these are white leather shorts. And yea I already know they are ridiculously awesome (heavy emphasis on ridiculous). I came across these babies awhile ago at Swellegant, and just couldn't resist. Plus they make an amazing squeaky sound when I walk which lets people know I'm coming. This is the closest to pink you will ever see me wearing, and no it's not pink it's MAUVE. Some people can pull of pink but it's way to feminine for my taste, I'd rather showcase my girly side with lace and ruffles, but to each their own.

Happy Valentines day lovely readers! I hope everyone gets so spend it with people they care about regardless of if you have a boyfriend or not.

An actually outfit post, I havn't been able to do one of these in over two weeks!! Don't get too exited though my camera is still at the Sony factory (yea 7-10 days my ass its been over two weeks).
