bridge to somewhere
First, I would like to thank Ramona West Vintage for the awesome trousers in these photos. I received them a little while back, but had been waiting for the proper inspiration to wear them. So, on a gloomy post-fourth day off, I decided to find the entrance to a foot bridge I pass everyday on my way to work. The floral growth along the bridge is gorgeous, and for some reason, I thought that my "turban" and new trousers would accent the scenery perfectly. With inspiration in sight, the rest of the outfit just fell into place. This leads to my question of the day: How often do you dress for locations over occasions?

ah you look adorable!!
ReplyDeletegreat trousers and i love that bag!!! so cool.
ReplyDeleteThose trousers are awesome! Dressing for occasion is more common, but if you're going to a carnival/ fair, it's definitely fun to dress for the location. Hmmm or am I getting the two confused?
ReplyDeletelove your outfit in these photos. the bridge is such a beautiful back drop. the shot with the runner in it is so funny - very so cal. you would never have that happen in the uk! haha. xx
ReplyDeleteI would say about 1 out of 5 of my outfits are chosen based on location. Otherwise I would stress myself out with not finding the perfect outfit for the perfect place. You did such a great job at using your surroundings for inspiration though. I love the trousers so much.
ReplyDeletegorgeous look!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI follow you!!
xoxo!

You know how to work the turban! What a great look!
ReplyDelete--pale bluebird
i absolutely LOVE that ring!!
ReplyDeleteI will dress for events, rather than location, although my workplace is a subdued mix of blues & greys which coordinates with my palette nicely.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute look, I love everything about this! Your turban and trousers are lovely, and your bag is super cool! I've been looking for a bag just like that! So far I haven't built up enough courage to actually take very many pictures on location, but I usually dress for occasion instead.
ReplyDeleteThose trousers look great on you, and the turban is really fun.
ReplyDeleteWonderful look, I love your hat and bag and.. well the whole outfit really! Haha

I love your trousers. I usually like turbans so much but this one doesn't seem very elegant to me. Anyway, nice style and generally congratulations on the blog.

ReplyDeleteI like this look, you look like you have important business to attend to! The turban gives it such a unique twist.
ReplyDeleteAmazing, amazing, amazing trousers. I wish I'd find myself a similar(beige) pair, then I'd turn them up a bit and wear them with high heels. Perfect!

Love the trousers... they fit you perfectly!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! Better than normal, and your normal is always the best...Those trousers are fab! I like how you turn a neutral toned outfit, which is usally a bit basic and boring into something that is anything but. The wonderful details like the pattern in the sweater, the quirky print on the blouse and the charm of the turban make this outfit so full of personality and pizazz! As always, a treat to visit Another Day.
ReplyDeleteLove the trousers very much ♥

Loving the turban look on you. You where it so well!
ReplyDeleteI often find inspiration from specific locations and then find myself not really ever going back to those locations for actual photoshoots. I should do this more often.
I love your look! AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteOne question:
How do you get your pictures so big on your posts? When I post pictures on my blog, I can't get them to be as big as yours. HELP PLEASE :)
You look wonderful! I want everything in your outfit, and the weather that came with it lol. I really like these pictures by the bridge, thanks for sharing such a pretty place :)
ReplyDeleteBoy, I love that. Super classic and crisp. Shhhharp!
ReplyDeleteAnd oddly enough, I don't really think I ever dress for location. Or occasion. Unless it's a very specific, holiday or event related occasion. Maybe my shoe choice depends on location for sure.
Other than that- it's pretty much luck of the draw. Or luck of the laundry.
And your turban makes me swoon.

ReplyDeleteHey ! Your outfit is perfect, but please, eat something... you look anorexic and i worry about your health ! (the longer your blog lasts, the better it is !)

ReplyDeleteGAH! Thanks so much for the lovely comment, you are far too kind! I've been admiring your amazing style for quite some time now (definitely one of my favourite chictopians) and to hear that the feeling is mutual is sweet. Girl crushin' across the internet :)
ReplyDeletePS. I am jealous of your pant wearing ways, you make them look so good.
I am tempted to copy this look piece-by-piece. You look stunning!
ReplyDeleteI never find myself dressing for locations, unless It's something like me wearing shorts because I know I'll be active...
